𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐱 (𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭) 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬:

The purpose of this Bill is to amend the Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2024 (X of 2024) in the National Assembly.
2. The amendments are being introduced with immediate effect through an Ordinance,(X of 2024) in order to remove difficulties faced by the taxpayer in implementation of higher tax rates on income from Federal
Govemment securities on the basis of ADR ratio. Concomitantly, few
counter measures have also been incorporated in ttris Ordinance to
rationalize standard tax rate on whole of the business income of banking
companies.
3. The Bill seeks to amend the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
