The Legislature has enacted an important act, namely, The Pakistan Maritime Zones Act, 2023, which provides for the consolidation and amendment of laws related to maritime zones and territorial seas of Pakistan. This Act has also been enacted to give effect to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, 1982, which Pakistan has ratified on 26/02/1997.
