The Parliament has passed a new act called Supreme Court (Review of Judgments and Orders) Act, 2023 whereby the scope of review of judgments and orders passed under article 184 of the Constitution has been enlarged. The scope of review is now equal to that of appeal under article 185 of the Constitution. The review against original judgment or order will be heard by a bench larger than the bench which has passed the original order or judgment.
