The new amendments to the Pakistan Army Act, 1952 are now out which have made significant changes to the act. The Parliament has enacted The Pakistan Army (Amendment) Act, 2023, which has introduced new amendments that provide, among other things, that a retired army personal cannot participate in politics for two years after his retirement and this period extends to five years of he has been on sensitive position in the Army. The act is not only applicable to the serving army personals but it has also been applicable to retirement or any person who has been subject of the act in any way whatsoever.
