The federal government has established a fund named, the Pakistan Sovereign Wealth Fund, through a new legislation, the Pakistan Sovereign Wealth Fund Act, 2023. The sole objective of the establishment of the Fund is to help the government in sustainable economic developments in the country and use the assets and wealth of the Fund in a manner which maximizes its profit for the public and the coming generations. The Fund can be given resources , among other things, by the federal government, its shareholdings in state owned enterprises and contribution from the State Bank of Pakistan.
