BEVARG SATTAR BALOCH

Advocate High Courts

I did my law from Balochistan University and got my initial practical training at a chamber in Quetta. Subsequently, our family move to Islamabad where I have been in practice for about 5 years.

While I am enrolled as a High Court advocate and have appeared before a variety of courts, my forte is trial litigation – or, as it is popularly known ‘katchehri’ work. While many younger lawyers fancy appellate and constitutional advocacy, I consider trial work to be far more important. This is what I excel at. Trial advocacy is an art in itself. It requires street smarts and often represents a test of patience; but, ultimately the rewards are also greater.  This is why, every day, I appear before the trial courts of Islamabad ranging from the Court of Magistrate to Sessions Courts, Family Courts and District Court.

Recently, along with my senior colleague Umer Ijaz Gilani, I have also carried out some successfully trial work  before the Election Commission of Pakistan and Federal Ombudsman against Sexual Harrassment of Women at the Workplace.

I joined forces with Law and Policy Chambers about two years ago. The work environment is highly collegiate and friendly. It has provided me the two things that a lawyer in his early career most needs: a steady income, regular stream of work and a conducive environment where I can focus on building a name for myself within my area of specialization.

If you need any advice, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
