Parliament enacts Bill to regulate Supreme Court Procedure

This week, the Pakistani Parliament has enacted a Bill to regulate the Practice and Procedure of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The Bill will become effective once it is signed by the President. Even if the President chooses not to sign it, it will become effective after 14 days.

The legality of the Bill is being hotly debated and is likely to be come up for adjudication soon.
