A thee-member bench, presided over by the Chief Justice, has directed the federal as well the provincial governments to remove encroachments of any nature, whether it is a generator in front of a building, a barrier for alleged security reasons or any other thing, from the roads and footpaths. A few days time has been given to governments to comply with the said order, otherwise, the expenses of encroachment operation will be deducted from the salaries of the officers highest in rank.
