The Judgment of the Special Court in the Pervez Musharraf Case Restored. His Conviction by the Special Court Subsists.
General (r) Pervez Musharraf was convicted under Article 6 of the Constitution by the Special Court vide judgment dated 17 December, 2019. The judgment was challenged by the convicted person in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. However, he died in the meantime. The very case was taken up by the Supreme Court recently. None of the legal heirs appeared before the Court to pursue the case. Thus, a four-member bench of the Court held that the judgment of the Special Court subsists and the Conviction is upheld.
