The Parliament has passed The Children (Pledging of Labour) (Amendment) Act, 2022 whereby certain amendments have been made to the Children (Pledging of Labour) Act, 1933. Penalty of pledging the labour of a child on both the parties, the pledger and pledgee, has been imposed through the new amendments.
