The Parliament has passed an important legislation, namely, The Maternity and Paternity Leave Act,2023, which addresses the long standing and a grave issue of no leaves during the pregnancy period. There was no mechanism for such leaves before this Act. The Act allows to both the parents to go on leave for their respective period of time at their options.
